Newly Opened Asian Deli Offers Authentic Thai, Chinese and Japanese Cuisine
The new Main Street restaurant opened for business Saturday, Dec. 8.
The old Mandarin Cuisine is now the new Asian Deli. After a change in ownership and nearly two months of renovations the Main Street eatery opened for business Sunday offering authentic Thai, Chinese and Japanese cuisine. “Mandarin Cuisine was mostly Americanized Chinese food. For our restaurant we have more traditional food. My father owns a restaurant in China and we’re doing pretty good business in China,” said manager Leo Chen. Leo's father, Ying, who is now the head chef at Asian Deli was a cook at a Thai restaurant for more than 10 years. "He knows a lot about Thai dishes," Chen said. "We do a lot of curries and Thai food uses a lot of fresh fruit and veggies. We use a lot basils, lemon leaves, mangoes, pineapples, stuff like that.” …
