What Grade Would You Give Walpole for Plowing the Streets?

Walpole residents, how well did the town handle the snowstorm?

Is your street clear? Are you still buried? Is your mailbox still standing? On Friday and Saturday, Walpole experienced a snow storm it will not soon forget. As the piles of snow remain, we want to know how you grade the town's response (or state's) to yesterday's major snowstorm. Does the town get an A? B? C? D? F? Tell us what you think below in the Comments section. Please mention if you live on a town or state road.  Facebook user Sissy Jennings Ciavattone said: The town workers did a GREAT job of plowing us out. People don't realize how long and hard they work to get us up and running. Of course there is always that special few that no effort is good enough.....I say GREAT JOB Walpole. Your efforts do NOT go un-noticed! Facebook user …

An F-. I live on a cul-de-sac in North Walpole and the genius DPW thought it would be a bright idea to pile up alllllll of the snow on top of the fire hydrant at the end of our street. What a bunch of idiots trying to find a way to get more overtime at my expense!   more ›

Which Walpole Street is Most in Need of Repair?

Potholes, flooding, faded lines — which Walpole streets give you the most trouble as you're navigating throughout town?

With the Washington Street resurfacing project close to completion, which streets should the town shift their focus to? Do potholes pound your car each time you drive a particular route? Perhaps damage from frost heaves, flooding or nearby construction are a constant issue on a particular stretch of roadway in town?  Maybe you just can't tell the difference between lanes on particular streets or the crosswalks aren't clear enough. In our continuing effort to cover quality of life issues in town, we want to know which Walpole streets are most in need of a makeover. In your opinion, which Walpole street (or streets) is most in need of repair? Weigh in your thoughts in the comments.
