New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, quarterback Ryan Mallet and punter Zoltan Mesko held a youth football clinic for 150 high school students with disabilities this week at Harvard University.
The New England Patriots teamed up with AccessSportAmerica this week to participate in a football skills clinic for 150 high school students with disabilities. Patriots head coach Bill Belichick joined quarterback Ryan Mallet and punter Zoltan Mesko instructed the students at Harvard University’s Harvard Stadium on Wednesday, May 8th. Belichick, Mallet and Mesko worked with members of the Harvard football team to assist with instruction at skill stations, such as throwing, catching and blocking. AccesSportAmerica is a national non-profit organization, which inspires higher function and fitness for children and adults living with disabilities through high-challenge sports and training.

Raytheon and the New England Patriots announced the winners of the fifth annual "Science of Sports" science fair and presented 15 scholarships at Sunday's event at Gillette Stadium.
Raytheon and the New England Patriots celebrated the fifth annual “Science of Sports” Science Fair at Gillette Stadium Sunday by awarding scholarships to participants of the three teams that best demonstrated the principles of math and science in sports: Swing Masters from Nashua, N.H., Catapult Court CEOs from Hudson, and GPA +1 from Lawrence. Players of the New England Patriots continue to reach out and offer support to the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings. Science fair begins at 9:30 a.m. Sunday in the Putnam Club East of Gillette Stadium.
For the last five months, students from 17 New England Boys & Girls Clubs have participated in the fifth annual “Science of Sports” Science Fair, a youth outreach and mentoring program that uses sports as a context to teach the principles of math and science. On Sunday that interactive and exciting program is coming to Foxborough with more than 120 “Science of Sports” middle school students from Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire Boys & Girls Clubs and their Raytheon mentors competing at The Putnam Club East of Gillette Stadium. In just 72 hours, fans meet Kraft family's challenge to raise $100,000 for victims of the Boston Marathon victims.
One day after the tragic attacks on the Boston Marathon, the Kraft family pledged to match the first $100,000 raised through donations to their charitable foundation for The One Fund Boston to aid hundreds of victims most affected by the bombings. Less than three days later, contributions by New England Patriots and New England Revolution fans exceeded that total. The New England Patriots put in a request for Watertown Police hats to wear during the draft, and police got a special request from head coach Bill Belichick. "The Patriots wanted Watertown Police hats for their whole staff. I joked, they will probably call and want a hooded sweatshirt with the sleeves cut off for Belichik," Watertown Police Chief Edward Deveau told Town Council Wednesday night.
