Not sure where anyone posting on here is from seeing as how this doesn't seem to be a local siteRead More anymore, but... if you want to donate blood then call the RI Blood Center. They are soley responsbible for blood for RI area hospitals. The Red Cross, although an ok organization, is looking for blood for MA hospitals. There has been this issue going on for some time now in border towns where the Red Cross asks RI residents for blood but the blood is not for RI. Call the RI Blood Center and ask... or ask Red Cross point blank where the blood is going (not RI).
David July 22, 2014 at 08:13 pm
Just as I assumed. After checking several different patch sites, this "article" appears onRead More many of them. So... RI RESIDENTS: CALL THE RI BLOOD CENTER TO DONATE BLOOD. NOT THE RED CROSS. Outside of RI? Call the Red Cross.

The thousands of people who showed up in protest are hard working employees and customers who wereRead More treated with honor and respect by Arthur. When employees were down, he picked them up and would treat his customers like he did his employees. Numerous "business" reporters are predicting that MB will be sold to some "hedgeRead More fund", who could care less about the customers or the employees. The hedge investors will milk it the business for all they can and then sell a few locations and close all the others. This is the Bain Capital model. You know, Bain Capital of Mitt Romney fame.

You're a trip, Rob: for the third time , I asked which SPECIFICS ( CAPS so you get it this time) inRead More the MA gun legislation before the MA legislature you dislike (and why). You can read; you know full well what I asked you. The answer is you don't know and any specific response will expose your mental drift, so you stick to the generalities ad right wing platitudes , safe ground; but not with me ; I don't play that. maybe you can get away withthat with someone else, not me. See ya. Not going off on multiple questionnaires with you as a seque into Martha Coakley. Martha Coakley! How about Sarah Palin; want to talk about her? West Heff Hobo: Even the Supreme Court has ruled that "blue laws" are constitutional.Read More State governments not only have the right to regulate businesses, they have the obligation to do so. What I find so disturbing is that people believe their freedom is somehow being eroded because of regulations such as this. My main issue with you, Kira, is you seem to be defending the indefensible. (There must be a wholeRead More class on defending the indefensible in law school. Yes, sarcasm) IMO, there are basically two scenarios that brought us to where we are today. This "humanitarian crisis" was either orchestrated or the administration is incompetent. Or perhaps both. Not good either way. In any event, this crisis does not end if we throw a life preserver to a few thousand refugees, even if they are truly running from deplorable conditions. Unless the UN is going to go and clean up the place be for they are returned to their homes, there is still a humanitarian crisis in Central America, correct?
deb of see-attleboro July 22, 2014 at 07:07 am
Kira: Being humane people, you and I should be able to agree on at least a couple things. I'mRead More always looking for common ground. First of all, it is sinful and immoral to exploit children. "Justina's Law." We can understand why Professor Warren wasn't a co-signer but the ACLURead More and the rest of the Massachusetts delegation!? On June 26, Rep. Michelle Bachmann (R-MN) introduced House Resolution 4989, nicknamed "Justina's Law." The bipartisan bill co-sponsored by Reps. Karen Bass (D-CA), Tom Marino (R-PA), and Jim McDermott (D-WA) seeks to prohibit federal tax dollars from being used for medical and psychological experimentation on wards of any state. "Justina's Law" is a federal legislative response to the kidnapping, imprisonment, and forced psychological treatments of Connecticut teenager Justina Pelletier. The "behavior modification" she was forced to endure at the hands of Boston Children's Hospital and the state of Massachusetts for more than a year led to a serious decline in her health and wellbeing.
