Over 700 Run/Walk in Walpole Labor Day Road Race

For the last 39 years in Walpole, Labor Day means the Walpole Road Race will run through town.

This year 711 runners participated in the Herb Lewis Memorial-John D. Murphy & Co. 10k Race and "Walpole Ed" 5k Run & Walk on Monday.

525 walkers and runners participated in the 5K and 186 ran in the 10K which started and finished at Walpole High School.

Race Notes:

• 5k Winner Male: Phil Gingras (Walpole Alumni 2005) - 16:38
• 5k Winner Female: Erin Lopez of Norwood - 18:09
• 10k Winner Male: Justin Lutz (Walpole Alumni 1998 and has won the race multiple times) - 32:15
• 10k Winner Female: Emily Logan Hurley (Walpole Alumni 2000) - 41:13
