UPDATED: Walpole Girls’ Hockey Opens D2 South Sectional State Tourney vs. Medfield

UPDATE (Feb. 25, 4:32 p.m.) - The Walpole-Medfield preliminary round game is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 8 p.m. at the Irorio Arena in Walpole.

UPDATE (Feb. 24, 8:36 p.m.) - The MIAA has changed Walpole's preliminary round matchup from the 17th seed Martha's Vineyard to the 15th seed Medfield. The date, time and venue of the game has yet to be announced.

The Walpole High School girls’ hockey team skated to an 11-8-1 season to earn the 16th seed in the MIAA Division 2 South Sectional Girls’ Hockey State Tournament.

The Rebels will open tournament play in the preliminary round against Medfield (10-7-3), the tourney’s 15th seed.
