Walpole Football Team Celebrates Successful Season at Raffael's

The Rebels football banquet was held Sunday to acknowledge those who participated in the 2012-13 season.

The Walpole High School football program celebrated their 2012-13 campaign at Raffael's Sunday afternoon.

The Rebels varsity team finished the season 10-1, just missing a chance for the playoffs after a pivotal loss to rival Natick in the second to last game of the season.

During the annual year-end banquet coaches, players, cheerleaders, parents and fans were acknowledged for their efforts throughout the season.

Senior running back Mike Rando was given the Offensive MVP award. Defensive MVP was awarded to Steve Thulin. Senior running back and linebacker Cam Hanley was named team MVP.

The team also recognized their four captains for the upcoming 2013-14 season Connor Moriarty, Will Bolster, Nick Cordopatri and Noah Kung.

After a stellar season the Walpole varsity cheerleaders will be headed to Florida in March to compete in Nationals.
