WHS Students Vie to Have Musician Ingrid Michaelson Perform at School

The students recorded a music video to the tune of musician Ingrid Michaelson's song "Blood Brothers" as part of the contest.

A group of Walpole High School students recently took part in a music video for VH1's 'We are all Blood Brothers' Video Contest.

To enter the contest, which supports VH1's Save the Music Foundation, students in middle schools and high schools across the country had to record a music video to the tune of musician Ingrid Michaelson’s song “Blood Brothers.”

According to Walpole's student newspaper The Rebellion, Walpole High School senior Ali Ajemian "decided to enter the contest, in part because of her love for the singer but also for the prizes that the winner’s school will get."

The grand prize winner will get a personal appearance by Michaelson to perform an acoustic live concert at their school during the 2012-13 calendar school year and a brand new keyboard for the school valued at over $1,000.

Each video will be voted on through Facebook and after the Nov. 1 deadline the top 10 videos will move on to have Michaelson pick the winning entry.
