Scott Brown (R), Elizabeth Warren (D): U.S. Senate

Scott Brown has represented Massachusetts in the U.S. Senate since a January 2010 special election held to fill the U.S. Senate seat vacated by the late Ted Kennedy. Brown defeated state Attorney General Martha Coakley with 1,168,107 votes, or 51.9 percent, to her 1,058,682 votes, or 47.1 percent.

Stephen Lynch (D), Joe Selvaggi (R): 8th Congressional District

Stephen Lynch has been the Conressman representing Massachusetts for the past 11 years. He faces off against Joe Selvaggi, a software industry executive who is new to running for office. In 2010, Lynch defeated challenger Vernon Harrison with 68 percent of the vote.

James Timilty (D), Jeffrey Bailey (R): State Senate Bristol and Norfolk

James Timilty has been the State Senator representing Walpole since 2004. He faces off against Jeffrey Bailey, a pastor and former teacher. In 2010, Timilty ran unopposed.

John Rogers (D), James Stanton (R): Mass. House 12th Norfolk District

John Rogers has been the State Representative for Walpole and Norwood for the past 20 years. In 2010, Rogers swept all nine Norwood districts over his then and current challenger Stanton.

7:51 p.m- By my last tally, around 7:20 p.m. 79.6-percent of registered voters in Walpole cast their votes. 13,223 out of 16,605. Voters were still trickling in at all three locations.

7:45 p.m- 15 minutes till polls close in Massachusetts!

7:26 p.m.- My final vote count for Walpole High School before polls close at 8 p.m. Precinct 3: 1634 Precinct 4: 1685 Precinct 5: 1495.

7:14 p.m.- My final vote count for Fisher School before polls close at 8 p.m. Precinct 6: 1703 Precinct 7: 1722 Precinct 8: 1772

7:03 p.m.- My final vote count before polls close for Old Post Road School in Walpole: Precinct 1: 1502 Precinct 2: 1710.

3:50 p.m.- By last tally, about 45-percent of registered voters in Walpole have cast their votes as of around 3 p.m. Tuesday.

3:22- Vote count from around 3:15 p.m. at Old Post Road School: Precinct 1: 862 and Precinct 2: 1096.

3:00 p.m.- As of about 3 p.m. vote counts at Fisher School are as follows: Precinct 6: 966 Precinct 7: 943 Precinct 8: 975

12:28 p.m. - At Walpole High School, Precinct 3 has 732 votes cast, Precinct 4 had 668 and Precinct 5 has 582.

12:27 p.m. - The line to submit a ballot is about 15 people deep for Precinct 3 at the high school. Things are starting to pick up.

11:48 a.m. - So far at Fisher School, Precinct 6 has 700 votes cast, Precinct 7 has 638 and Precinct 8 has 702.

11:44 p.m. - Hard to find parking at Fisher School and Old Post Road School.

11:39 a.m. - Heading over to the polls at Fisher School in Walpole.

11:24 a.m.- So far at Old Post Road School in Walpole Precinct 1 has 613 votes and Precinct 2 has 536 votes.

9:49 a.m. - In Second Election Day Face Off, Rogers, Stanton Make Final Appeal to Voters

For local voters, the race for Mass. House Representative for the 12th Norfolk District is a familiar one, as incumbent Democrat Rep. John Rogers faces off with Republican challenger James Stanton for the second time.

In 2010, Rogers won his 10th term in office by a margin of 52 percent to 48 percent. Rogers swept all nine Norwood districts in that election. Stanton vowed to run again in this current election almost immediately following his 2010 defeat.

On Monday, Rogers said that a vote for him is a vote "for you, your family, and our community," in an open letter to local voters. He cited several items from this year in office, including the securing $10 million in local aid, reforming the EBT Card system to prevent welfare fraud and abuse and securing passage of the Norwood Theatre bill.

"As it my honor to represent the hard-working families of Norwood, I have been working hard to make our beloved town an even better place for you and your family," Rogers said.

A statement Monday evening from Stanton said, "It has been my honor and privilege to meet so many wonderful people throughout this great district. If you want to restore integrity, accountability and balance here in Norwood and Walpole, I humbly ask for your vote today."

The pair squared off at the Norwood Town Hall in the League of Women Voters' Candidates Forum, answering questions on the economy, immigration and education, among other things.

"I think that Beacon Hill needs to reset its priorities..." Stanton said during the Forum, noting the length of time Rogers has been in office. "Twenty years is too long."

When asked whether they believe in term limits for all elected officials, Stanton said that if elected he would self-limit to six years, or three two-year terms, while Rogers said that the decision belongs to the voters.

"I believe in the power and the intelligence of the voter," Rogers said.
