Incumbents Win Out in Walpole's Annual Town Election

Results from the June 1st Walpole Annual Town Election.

In last Saturday's Walpole town election, incumbents were able to retain their seats while a new member of the Board of Selectmen was elected.

Voter turnout (11 percent) was much lower than Town Clerk Ron Fucile had expected (28 percent) for Saturday's town election.

As for the results, Clifton Snuffer, a former selectman, beat out another former selectman, William Hamilton, for Eric Kraus' seat. Kraus announced in April he would not be seeking re-election. Snuffer received the most votes in the three-candidate selectmen's race with 1,164. Incumbent Michael Berry retained his seat with 1,147 votes.
