Walpole FY14 Budget Passes; Town Meeting Resumes Wednesday
Walpole Town Clerk Ron Fucile said the town's proposed budget passed town meeting vote easily Monday.
Walpole Town Clerk Ron Fucile said the town's FY 2014 budget passed Town Meeting Monday with little to no contention.
“There were no problems on the budget vote,” he said.
The budget, which was recommended unanimously by Walpole's Board of Selectmen, passed at $74.1 million with no use of reserve funds. That budget is up slightly from the 2013 FY13 budget of $72.2 million.

Fucile said Town Meeting was only able to vote on 14 of the 38 warrant articles Monday and continued the meeting to Wednesday. Fucile added any of those articles, despite the vote on Monday, could be revisited at any time in subsequent town meeting dates, so nothing is official until the conclusion of the meeting.
“As long as town meeting is open, any of those articles could be brought back,” he said.
