Walpole Police arrested two men and a woman Monday night after one of the men was caught by a homeowner trying to break into his Main Street home.
"The resident was home when the suspect was breaking-in through a window after cutting a screen," Deputy Police Chief John Carmichael said in an email.
The homeowner confronted the would-be thief outside the home and the suspect fled on foot to an awaiting vehicle further down Main Street.
A witness identified the vehicle and Walpole Detective Tim Sullivan located the car in Foxborough with two other occupants inside.
"One occupant was identified by a witness after corporeal showed up and all three were arrested for the joint venture of breaking in, as well as receiving stolen property," Carmichael said.
The suspect who allegedly fled from the house was identified by police as 22-year-old Anthony Loto, of Mansfield. Loto was charged with alleged Trespassing, Wanton Destruction of Property Under $250, Person in Fear B&E Daytime for Felony, Possession of a Burglarious Instrument, Receiving Stolen Property Over $250 and Conspiracy.
Corey A. Field, 24, of S. Weymouth - who was in the car with Loto - was charged with alleged Person in Fear B&E Daytime for Felony, Receiving Stolen Property Over $250 and Conspiracy.
Amber L. Wilson, 20, of Foxborough - who was also in the car with Loto and Field - was charged with alleged Person in Fear B&E Daytime for Felony, Receiving Stolen Property Over $250 and Conspiracy.
Carmichael said nothing from the 152 Main Street home was stolen but jewelry and other items were recovered in the car.
He said detectives are currently trying to connect the three to the other house breaks that have been in the area.
