Walpole Man Arrested for Assaulting 3 Women at Ruggles T Stop

Francis Cocuzzo is accused of assaulting three women at the Ruggles MBTA stop.

A Walpole man was arrested and charged with allegedly assaulting three women at an MTBA stop in Boston Saturday, according to a release by MBTA Transit Police.

Francis Cocuzzo, 40, of Walpole was arrested at the Ruggles MBTA station for allegedly assaulting three women who were waiting for a bus and spitting at transit police officers.

Cocuzzo is accused of pushing one woman with his forearm in the alleged unprovoked attack. A second woman tried intervene and Cocuzzo grabbed her by her jacket, pushed her against the bus and repeatedly punched her.

Cocuzzo then ripped a necklace off one of the women and placed it into his pocket.

A third female victim attempted to stop him from assaulting the other women and he kicked her in the thigh area.

As Transit Police officers were placing Cucozzo into custody he resisted arrest and attempted to spit at the officers.

He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court Monday for Assault & Battery, Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Shod Foot and Unarmed Robbery.

All three women were examined and released by Boston EMS.
