Walpole Dispatchers Honored in '911 Awards'

Dispatchers were recognized during the 5th annual 911 Honors Awards in Worcester.

Dispatchers who fielded hundreds of calls during the hunt for the Boston Marathon bombing suspects last year were honored for their work during a ceremony Wednesday.

WHDH/7News reported the 5th annual 911 Honors Awards in Worcester paid tribute to dispatchers from Newton, Framingham, Malden, Tewksbury, and Walpole.
 
"It was scary," one dispatcher told WHDH. "But everybody kicked in and I'm glad they did what they had to do."

WHDH reported the following dispatchers were honored:

  • Kevin Kilmain, Massachusetts State Police Department in Framingham
  • David Yung, Malden Police Department  
  • Matthew J. Carapellucci, Tewksbury Police Department
  • Garin Worth, Tewksbury Police Department  
  • Jeffery Abate, Walpole Police Department
  • Carly Moriarty, Walpole Police Department
  • Kathleen Duffey, Newton Police Department
  • Lauren Dragone, Newton Police Department
  • Brian Boudrot, Newton Police Department
  • Kristyna Eldridge, Newton Police Department
  • Julie Kelley, Newton Police Department
  • Margaret Ciccone, Newton Police Department
  • Stacy Poutas, Newton Police Department
