Police Looking for Thieves Who Stole Money From Hockey Players at Iorio Arena

The suspects made off with between $200-$300 in cash.

Walpole Police are looking for two suspects who stole money and car keys from hockey players at Iorio Arena while they were busy skating on the ice.

The incident happened Sunday, Dec. 30 between 8-9 p.m.

Surveillance footage shows two men enter the arena wearing winter jackets zipped up to to the top to partially cover their faces.

“We have them on film. They go in and out of the locker rooms and take basically just cash and nothing else,” said Iorio office manager Cathy Harrop.

Walpole Deputy Police Chief John Carmichael said the thieves also stole a set of car keys which they used to steal money from a vehicle.

"They used keys to access a vehicle in the lot, left the vehicle in lot with the keys inside," Carmichael said in an email.

Between $200-$300 was stolen, according to Harrop.

Police do not have any suspects and are asking for the public's help in identifying the two men.

The owner of Iorio Arena Rob Barletta is offering an award to anyone who can provide information about the suspects leading to an arrest.

According to Channel 5, the suspects may also have been involved in recent thefts at the Foxborough Sports Center.
