Walpole Obituary: Rose Laliberty

Ms. Laliberty was born in Walpole and served in the United States Marine Corps. during WWII.

Rose (Lans) Laliberty of Plymouth, formerly of Walpole, died peacefully on March 16 at Plymouth Crossings.

She was the wife of the late Arthur L. Laliberty and is survived by Marcia J. Beal of Plymouth and John A. Laliberty and his wife Priscilla of East Greenwich, R.I. She will also be missed by her grandchildren Michele and William Laliberty and Steven Beal and Stephanie (Beal) Jamison and great grandchildren Aiden, Zoe, Anna, Max, Jessica, Andrew and Leah.

Born in Walpole, MA on August 26, 1918, she was the daughter of the late William and Saima (Maki) Lans, was educated in the Walpole schools, and a graduate of Bridgewater State Teachers College.

Rose served with the United States Marine Corps during WWII and taught in the Walpole, Sudbury, and North Conway, N.H. school systems.

She was a member of the Alumni Association of Bridgewater State College. Her most recent years were spent amongst many friends at Plymouth Crossings.

Funeral service on Friday March 22 at 11am in the Cartmell Funeral Home, 150 Court St. Plymouth with a visiting hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 am. Burial to follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. In honor of

Rose's love of reading, memorial donations may be made to the Plymouth Public Library, 132 South Street, Plymouth, MA 02360 or Beacon Hospice, 32 Resnik Road # 3, Plymouth, MA 02360.
