Walpole Obituary: Raymond Richards

Mr. Richards passed away at the Harrington House in Walpole.

Raymond Richards, 90, of Franklin died September 15 in the Harrington House in Walpole. He was the husband of Adelaide (MacPhee) Richards for the past 69 years.

Born in Newton, August 16, 1922, the son of the late Frederick and Mary (Champagne) Richards, Mr. Richards was a raised in Newton and had lived in Franklin for over 50 years.

Mr. Richards had been the owner of the Rosewood Restaurant in Bellingham for over 20 years before retiring.

Ray was an avid sportsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Raymond Richards, Jr. and his wife Diane of Bellingham, Robert Richards and his wife Judy of Mendon, Mark Richards and his wife Gina of Milford, Gene Richards and his wife Diana of Franklin and Cynthia Richards of Barrington, New Hampshire.

He was the brother of the late Philip and Robert Richards.

He is also survived by 7 grandchildren.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday September 19 from the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home 3 Barber Street Medway at 9:00 followed by a funeral mass in St. Brendan’s Church at 10:00.

Burial will be private.

Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 5-8 in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to St. Brendan’s Church 382 Hartford Ave. Bellingham, MA 02019.
