Walpole Obituary: Carol A. Bjork

Ms. Bjork was a resident of Walpole for 44 years and taught at Blessed Sacrament Church.

Carol A. Bjork, 68 of Walpole died Feb. 15, 2013 in the Kindred Transitional Care Rehabilitation- Highgate, Dedham.

She was the wife of Carl E. Bjork. Born in Boston, August 26, 1944, the daughter of the late Thomas and Alice (ONeil) Flynn, Mrs. Bjork was raised in Jamaica Plain and had lived in Walpole for the past 44 years.

A homemaker, Mrs. Bjork had taught CCD at Blessed Sacrament Church and been a Girl Scout leader. She loved to cook, travel, go to the beach in North Carolina and to go to Foxwoods. Carol was always there for her family which meant the most to her.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, Lisa Olivier and her husband Rich of Cranston, Rhode Island, Karen Cupo and her husband Michael of Clayton, North Carolina and Carl Bjork of Walpole. She is also survived by her brothers Thomas Flynn of Jamaica Plain and Charles Flynn of Dedham She was the sister of the late Mary Powderly. She is also survived by her grandsons, Michal Jr. and AJ.

Her funeral was held on Feb. 21 from the Ginley Funeral Home, followed by a funeral mass in Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial was in St. Francis Cemetery, South Walpole. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
