You Know It's Cold Out When ...

How do you judge when it's cold out or when it's just New England typical weather?

It's definitely cold out this week, with winter reminding us we live in New England.

What made you shiver this morning? Taking the dogs out? Standing at the bus stop? One reader said "you know it's cold out when the wet clothes in the dryer are frozen."

Finish this sentence for us in the comments:

I have a wood stove, but, I do need the furnace occationally. We keep the thermostat at 60. What the heck, 60 is a nice autumn day, just wear sweaters or sweatshirts and keep moving. At night, when the fire dies out, we're sleeping. The quilts keep up comfortable. Too hot isn't always the best. The body adjusts when it needs to. Its called acclimation to the environment.
