Walpole Curbside Christmas Tree Pick-Up, Drop-Off Schedule

Already taking your tree down? Here's what you can do with it in Walpole.

With Christmas now behind us, those in Walpole who purchased a Christmas tree for the holiday may be wondering what to do with it next.  

You're in luck. Walpole officials have released the 2013 Christmas tree pick-up and drop-off schedule for residents after the holidays.

Curbside Pickup

  • Beings: Monday, Jan. 7
  • Ends: Friday, Feb. 1

Trees should be placed on curbs in front of residents' homes alongside household trash. Pickup will coincide with the regular route for trash collection.

Trees must be free of ornaments, lights, tinsel, tree stands, tree bags and other items prior to collection. Only natural trees will be collected; plastic or fake trees will not be considered. Wreaths or strands of garland with wire frames will not be accepted. 

Residents should also note that the collection will be fore Christmas trees only and yard debris or branches will not be collected.

Drop Off

Walpole residents also have the option to drop their trees off this year. In addition to the Robins Road Composting facility, residents can drop their trees off at the following locations:

  • Walpole Department of Public Works Yard - 1385 Washington St.
  • Center Pool Parking Lot
  • Lincoln Road Landfill Site - Front Gate
  • Polley Lane Parking Lot for Bird Park
