5 Things, Sept. 22-23: Pet Smart Grand Opening, Bike Run and Walk to End Alzheimer's

2. Walk to End Alzheimer's begins at Bird Middle School Saturday

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s hosted by the Alzheimer's Association will be at Bird Middle School Saturday, Sept. 22. Registration is 9 a.m. and the walk begins at 10 a.m.

Ayla Brown, a former American Idol contestant and Sen. Scott Brown's daughter, will be performing before the race.

There are no fees or fundraising minimums for the 3.5 mile walk. Walkers who raise $150 will earn a Walk to End Alzheimer’s t-shirt.

3. Pet Smart at Walpole Mall Grand Opening Saturday

Pet Smart at the Walpole Mall on Route 1 is having their grand opening Saturday. The store will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The phone number for the store is 508-734-3215.

4. Blue Wheels Of Valor Bike Run Sunday

The Blue Wheels of Valor motorcycle run in Walpole Sunday is sponsored by VFW Post 5188.

The ride starts at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5188, 33 Robbins Road in Walpole.

Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. and the motorcycles go out at 12:00 p.m.

The ride fee is $20.00 for the rider and $10.00 for a passenger.

The ride will benefit the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund and National Law Enforcement Museum.

Breakfast will be served.
