5 Things, Oct. 16: Voter Registration Deadline Tomorrow

The National Weather Service calls for cloudy skies through mid-morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 57. West wind 8 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.

At night, look for clear skies, with a low around 36. West wind 6 to 13 mph.

2. REMINDER: Voter Registration Deadline Tomorrow

Walpole residents who want to vote in the 2012 presidential election and other federal and state races have one day left until the Massachusetts voter registration deadline! The registration deadline is Wednesday, Oct. 17. Voters can register in the Walpole Town Clerk's office, on the first floor of the Town Hall, which is open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

3. Meetings in Walpole Tuesday

  • The Board of Selectmen will meet at 7 p.m. in the Main Meeting Room at the Town Hall. To view the agenda click here.

4. Kindercare Learning Center Open House

The Kindercare Learning Center in Walpole will be hosting an Open House, beginning at 7 a.m. Take a tour of the center and learn about the different programs designed for children.

5. Middle School Scrabble Club at Library

Kids can head to the Walpole Library from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. to learn to play Scrabble or learn strategies, scoring methods and handy two-letter words that can get you out of a jam. Bring Kids can play on-line Scrabble and Words with Friends. Scrabble boards provided.
