5 Things, Nov. 10-11: Veteran's Day, Fair Trade Shopping and Brunch

1. Veteran's Day in Walpole

Veteran's Day services in Walpole will begin at 11 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 11 on the Town Common. The guest speaker will be John Robinson, U.S Army Gulf War Veteran and graduate of Walpole High School class of 1992. All are welcome to attend.

2. Shop With Justice Event Saturday

Grace Community Boston will be hosting an open house, Saturday at 1 p.m., featuring a variety of local and fair trade goods, including: handmade soap, homemade jams and baked goods, unique jewelry, vintage frames and more all by local micro-business.

In addition there will be a large selection of fair trade crafts from around the world from SERRV. Enjoy the displays, meet local artisans and crafters, enjoy fair trade coffee or coca and baked goods. Everyone is welcome.

The event will be at 28 Gould St. in Walpole.

3. Weekend Brunch

Where are you eating out this weekend? Here are some local restaurants serving weekend brunch:

Raffael's - Sunday bruch at Raffael's is opened to the public from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The Raven's Nest- Sunday brunch at the Raven's Nest is from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Old Country Buffet- The Old Counry Buffet will be open on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
