5 Things, Jan. 2-3: Super Bowl, JWCW Annual Trivia Night and Possible Snow

1. Super Bowl Sunday

Sunday is the big game, Super Bowl XLVII, between the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers. Kick off is at 6:30 p.m. Who do you want to win?

2. Junior Woman’s Club of Walpole Annual Trivia Night

This year’s trivia is Stump Trivia and is being held in the function room at Beckett’s Pub, 1065 Main St. in Walpole. Doors open at 7 p.m. and trivia starts at 8 p.m. sharp. There will be random trivia prizes throughout the night as well as prizes for the winners and best name. There will be a cash bar, limited restaurant menu, and great raffles. Light desserts will be provided by the club. Tickets are $15 per person or $120 for a table of eight (Tickets will also be sold at the door that night for $20). 3. Bring Your Child to the Library Day with Dale Freeman

Saturday, Feb. 2 beginning at 11 a.m. is Bring Your Child to the Library Day. The Walpole Public Library will host musician Dale Freeman who will perform duing the event. For the past 8 years, Dale has performed his own songs and traditional favorites for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, kindergarteners, and up to children 8 years old. The 45-minute concert consists of music from his two CDs Just Say Hello and Let's Go! You can find out more about Dale and his music at his website. This program is free and open to all.

4. Rebel Hockey in Action This Weekend

The boys hockey team will take on Milton this weekend at home Saturday at 6:50 p.m.

The girls hockey team will be on the road against Milton Saturday at 7:00 p.m.

5. Weekend Weather

There is a chance of snow Saturday, mainly after 9 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. Look for cloudy skies, with a low around 19. Southwest wind 5 to 9 mph becoming light and variable after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
