5 Things, Dec. 22-23: Last Santa's House, Winter Break and a Chance of Snow This Weekend

1. Town Seeking Input on Medical Marijuana Dispensaries

The town website currently has a two question survey for residents asking if they are in favor of a dispensary in Walpole and if so, where in town should it be located?

The options for locations on the survey are an industrial area in Walpole, downtown Walpole, a retail/mall/plaza area, a residential area or not in town at all.

2. Winter Break Begins for Walpole Students

Winter vacation for students at Walpole Public Schools begins Saturday. Schools will not be in session again until Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2012.

3. Santa's House on Walpole Common

The great tradition of Santa on the Common will end Saturday, Dec. 22.

Sponsored by the Walpole Chamber of Commerce, Old Saint Nick visits his house on the Walpole Common and welcomes children to come and tell him their Christmas wishes! 

Santa will be at his house from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Saturday calls for a slight chance of snow showers before 4 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. Cloudy, with a high near 38. West wind 9 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Sunday look for sunny skies, with a high near 38. West wind 11 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.
