Walpole Taco Bell Open During Construction

The Route 1 store will maintain its regular business hours throughout the project.

With its sides boarded up and large black tarps draped over the roof it may look like a building that's been condemned, but Walpole's Taco Bell is merely undergoing a face lift.

The project, which will take about a month, will refurbish the outside of the building and the dining room area.

"Everything but the kitchen," Store Manager Lisa Hebert said. "So it's a little cramped back here but we are still open."

They will be open throughout the construction and maintain their regular business hours.

Hebert said the Route 1 fast food eatery's renovation was long overdue as the store is nearly 20 years old.

According to the Huffington Post, companies like Taco Bell, Wendy's and Sbarro are revamping their images by retrofitting their restaurants to make them more like Chipotle, Five Guys and Panera Bread, who have a more casual, sit down dining atmosphere.
