Potters Place Annual Spring Show & Sale Begins Friday

The show and sale event will feature hundreds of hand crafted, uniquely designed and glazed pottery items.

Potters Place in Walpole is set to hold its annual Spring Show & Sale this weekend.

The event begins Friday, May 3 from 6-9 p.m. at 127B Old West St. in Walpole and continues through the weekend. Saturday’s show will be held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday’s is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A “Meet the Artists” reception takes place Friday and includes refreshments and the opportunity to meet the 22 featured Potters Place artisans.

Close to Walpole center and the MBTA commuter rail station, follow the signs to Potters Place, located at 127B Old West St.  Free admission and parking are available. Credit and debit cards accepted.

“Our spring theme has inspired a unique collection of functional and fine art pottery, both wheel-thrown and hand-built,” Potters Place said in a press release. “Come browse the pottery studio, transformed into a dazzling gallery displaying unique vases, batter bowls, mugs, berry bowls, embellished platters, casserole dishes, bowl sets, cookie jars, plates, sculptures, and more.”

These one-of-a-kind functional and fine art pottery items are available for purchase. Potters will be on-hand throughout the weekend to discuss the craft of pottery and direct prospective students to upcoming classes for both adults and children.

The studio will also be selling gift certificates, which can be used to purchase a finished piece or for attending one of the on-going studio classes for children, teens and adults.

Potters Place is a non-profit organization dedicated both to art and to community outreach. This season, potters will continue the "50 Bowls Project" to benefit the Walpole Food Pantry.
