Blessed Sacrament School Performs 'Sleeping Beauty'

Two full casts of students performed the musical last Friday and Saturday night.

Students at Blessed Sacrament School recently performed their production of Sleeping Beauty.

The musical featured students from multiple grades including three sisters Jamie Folwell (grade 5), Maggie (grade 4) and Kelly (grade 1) of Walpole.

The three shared the stage for the second time at a BSS produced performance. Being sisters onstage, pretending to be someone else, adds extra fun for the three girls.

“It is weird and exciting at the same time,” said Maggie. “I have one line where I look at Jamie [who plays Evilina] and say ‘I have never seen you before,’ which cracks us up. It is funny to play a role against each other and still be sisters.”

The musical, which was performed by two separate casts last Friday and Saturday, was directed by fifth grade teacher Sandy Jacksina.
