10:30 a.m. - Baby Book Time in the Children's Activity Room

For ages up to 2 1/2. It's never too early to read to your baby! Introduce your baby to the fun of words and books with simple stories, play rhymes, and songs. We start promptly at 10:30! Drop-ins welcome.

4 p.m. - Middle School Book Club in the Children's Activity Room

In July we will be reading Leap Day by Wendy Mass; Divergent by Veronica Roth in August. Copies of the books will be available to collect form the Circulation desk. Contact Mrs. Dean, Youth Services Librarian, for further details

2 p.m. - Lucy the R.E.A.D. Dog in the Children's Activity Room

Come and read with Lucy! Lucy is a specially trained Reading Education Assistant Dog who loves to share stories. She likes it when children read to her, and she likes to read stories to children. Lucy is a registered Therapy Dog with Massachusetts Pet Partners. You can read more about Lucy athttp://www.lucythereaddog.com. This program is suitable for ages 3 to 6; registration is required and limited to Walpole residents. Participants can bring their favorite story to read to Lucy!


6:30 p.m. - Pajama Storytime in the Children's Activity Room

Wear your comfiest pajamas and snuggle down for some sleepy time reading and a craft. This program is open to all. Drop ins welcome.

Presented in conjunction with the Walpole Coordinated Family & Community Engagement Program.

2 p.m. - Creature Teachers: Diggin Critters

The Creature Teachers is a family owned business specializing in environmental and animal education. From Flash the tortoise to Violet the groundhog, the diggin critters will be coming to Walpole to help teach which creatures dig and why they do so. Some of the answers might surprise you! This program is free and open to the public and is suitable for children 3 and up.
