New England's favorite country star has set up a fund with the Boston Medical Center to help purchase prosthetics for victims who lost limbs during the attacks on the Boston Marathon.
Over the years, country music star Kenny Chesney has adopted the Boston area, including Foxborough, as his second home. And when that home was under attack on April 15th, Chesney felt the need to reach out to his extended family and provide relief to those in need. “I do feel this sense of family with everybody in Boston and when that happened, like a lot of people I couldn’t believe what I was seeing,” Chesney said in a recent interview with JW & Lori on Country 102.5. “I thought about how I wanted to help in some way and I was trying to figure out what was best to do.” After some thought, Chesney decided to “Spread the Love” to the city he loves and victims of the Boston Marathon bombings by starting a fund through donations and sales of…

Walpole Music Studio manager Greg Gi Gregorio shares his thoughts.
Greg Di Gregorio, manager of the Walpole Music Studio, said classifying his favorite guitars would be tough, but he’d have to go for the imports. Gregorio said he likes the Yamahas for acoustics and the Ibanezes for electric to semi hollow guitars. He said there was nothing particularly special about them, they’re just the most consistently good guitars for decent prices. “They’re inexpensive, but that’s what I like about them,” he said. “We used to have new and used Gibsons, but my thing is I’m afraid to touch or play at home a $2,000 instrument.”
