Welcome to Walpole Patch
Your new source for all things Walpole.
Welcome to Walpole Patch! Your source for local news, features, human-interest articles, sports, arts, and all things Walpole. Here you'll get extensive coverage of town hall meetings, selectmen, police and fire, school committees, Walpole High School and anything else going on in your backyard and front door.
Our site is constantly being updated throughout the day with news and information that matters to you. So, for example, if there is a car accident that closes Washington Street, you'll find out about it here, so you can plan accordingly.
But it's not just a news site. Walpole Patch is an interactive website.
Patch allows community groups and residents to have easy access to the site. Rather than sending an announcement, event listing, or game wrap-up to a newspaper, and hoping that it makes it into the paper when you need it, Walpole Patch gives you the ability to sign up for a free account so you can update the site yourself with your news, announcements and photos, whenever you like.
Another great feature of our site is the full directory stocked with information about Walpole businesses, schools, town government buildings, parks, churches, non-profit groups and volunteer listings.
So if you are looking to try a new restaurant on a Friday night, want to compare student-teacher ratios at the schools, want to see if a local park has a playground, or seeking volunteer opportunities, you can come right here to find out all the information you need to know about Walpole.
In my time exploring this wonderful town, I've been taking in the beautiful scenery that I'm sure attracted many of you to live here. Everyone I have met has been so welcoming and inviting, and I couldn't be happier to be covering and living in such a close-knit community. I've been spending most of my time at The Good Food Store on High Plain St. getting personally acquainted with the dozens of different sandwiches they have to offer. I've also been enjoying some outdoors time at beautiful Bird Park.
As your local editor, don't be surprised if you see me at a town hall meeting, or covering a Rebels football game. Here at Walpole Patch, your questions are our questions, your concerns are our concerns, and your town is our focus, and I am really excited to provide Walpole a place where local news means right here.
