Person Struck and Killed by Train Thursday Morning
The fatality occurred on the Franklin line track between Islington and Norwood Depot just before 10 a.m.
NORWOOD-A tresspasser on the Commuter Rail tracks between the Islington and Norwood Depot train stations was struck and killed by an outbound train this morning, officials said.
The accident occurred just before 10 a.m. on the tracks past the Everett St. bridge in Norwood. Norwood Police, Transit Police and the Medical Examiner were all on scene on Route 1A across from Investors Way.
MBTA Spokesman Joe Pesaturo said the tresspasser was described as a middle-aged male. No further details on the victim were available.
According to the MBTA, as of 11 a.m. the Franklin line was experiencing 60 minutes delays due to the accident. Traffic on 1A was still moving quickly.

Hey reporter puppet of railroad. Man ran down like a dog because MBTA safety features obviously suck not your jury tampering trespass statement. Show PROOF of trespassing with court documents to prove it not some scum bag railroad talkin heads say so.

please respect my family im the niece of the person who got killed my uncle and my moms brother steven forkin and i thank u for ur support but it wasnt the MBTA's fault at all.
