Forklift Hits Gas Line at Walpole Park South, Building Evacuated
Employees of a medical supply warehouse have re-entered the building as a local gas company repairs the break.
A forklift at a medical supply warehouse located in the Walpole Park South industrial complex struck a gas line Monday afternoon, causing local fire crews to evacuate the building.
Employees of Physician Sales and Service, Inc., however, re-entered after crews ventilated the property. No injuries were reported.
The Walpole Fire Department left the scene shortly after 5 p.m. Monday; Columbia Gas crews were still on scene working to fix the gas line.
